Girls just wanna have fun

Kids still sick and I think I'm getting their yuck. A nap sounds like a good idea so I'll make this quick. Today just felt like an 80's throw-back day so I dressed baby in leg warmers and gave her a one-sided ponytail. Why not. I love the leg warmers and try to have her wear them as often as possible, they can be arm warmers when she's older too. They are a little punk rock girl design with rainbows, little skulls, headphones and stars that say Rock in them.

Had to pair them with the psuedo-high tops too. Oh, and my son made the nicest fridge art today! One of these day's I'm going to give him a real canvas and he can make some art for the home. Here it is:

The sound of silence

Napping children makes for a quiet house, a moment to regain some sanity, or scrub the floors as the case may be today. I'm going to go all out and get down on my hands and knees to do it too (yippie skippy). Hi Ho...Hi Ho...it's off to work I go.



I'd love to get some sewing done today too, but the floors really need a good cleaning! Spilled water a few days ago and baby crawled in it and her knees got so filthy that it made me realize Swiffer wet jet just in't cutting it.



Oh, and I wonder why it's so hard to find a tissue to wipe the kids' noses with??? Hmmm, I wonder...

I want you to eat your peas

Is that so much to ask?? But I get "I don't want to Mama" instead of my dream response of "Peas? Oh yes please!". Two sick kids today. I'm getting sick too, of wiping noses and having snotty everywhere. But...this too shall pass. In the big picture I'd rather be doing this than anything else. I love being a mother and so far so good. I'm not crazy yet...but close!
